The end of Kallah Aleph was the conclusion of the first chapter of the summer. The first session was filled with energy and excitement. The last two days of camp were packed with fun which brought the whole community together. Maccabiah, our camp’s color games, happened on the second to last day where all campers competed to bring the milk back to the cereal. The campers were divided into four teams competing in activities ranging from cake-decorating, gaga and a camp-wide relay race. The next day, we had a spectacular day where we celebrated the 4th of July, one day early. Camp celebrated with popsicles, water balloon fights, an inflatable obstacle course and waterslide. Campers delighted in throwing pie at the staff, me included! The day culminated with a talent show where campers of all ages performed, and a fireworks show to close out an incredible session. The staff are eagerly awaiting the arrival of session Bet campers where they will find friendships to last a lifetime and memories to cherish forever.

Tonight it is Shabbat, which is the perfect time to come together as a staff community. We cannot wait to welcome everyone into our kehila kedosha this Sunday.
