By Sarah Freedman, Nitzotzot Unit Head
I was a waterfront specialist at Camp Kalsman for the past three years so I have been on the lake more times than I can count. It continues to be one of my favorite places on camp. Everytime I go on the lake whether for a fun game of pirate ball or just to paddle around, I am blown away by the lakes’ beauty and the beauty that we see everyday at Camp Kalsman. Being a Unit Head this year has taught me to really appreciate the lakes’ quietness. Having not been able to lead and go on the lake as much this summer was difficult but it showed me that as a lifeguard I was extremely lucky to be surrounded by the beauty that campers get to see everyday at camp.
